Man’s bond with the earth is intensive and forceful. Therefore it is easy to create an analogy between the human body – female or male – the soul and the soil.

The earth perpetually changes its core, substance and colours. This process of metamorphosis can be compared with the changes that harass the human body and soul. I started this series by taking photographs of different parts of Israel and making diverse sketches. Following my impressions and imagination, I painted human limbs and the earth in the process of merging and deterioration.

By employing a combination of manifold techniques in these paintings, their subject matter, form and material became intertwined.
